A delicious marinade for 1915 Farm Hanger Steak (also great with Flank Steak)! This super tender, flavorful cut is complimented by a flavorful combination of dijon, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, and garlic. Excellent for a quick and easy dinner after marinading overnight.
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup avocado oil
- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt
- 1 lb. Grassfed 1915 Farm Hanger Steak
INSTRUCTIONS
For the marinade, combine the avocado oil, dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, garlic, and salt.
Place the hanger steak in a shallow dish or gallon sized plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Make sure the meat is well coated, then refrigerate overnight.
About an hour before you're ready to cook, remove the steak from the marinade and allow to come to room temperature.
Blot with paper towel to remove excess moisture. Heat avocado oil in a heavy skillet over medium high heat. Once oil is smoking hot, add steak.
Cook for 5 minutes and then flip, cook an additional 4 minutes or to desired doneness.
Remove from heat, and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Slice against the grain to serve.
