Korean Grassfed Short Ribs Recipe

1915 Farm Grassfed Beef Short Ribs are treated to a tasty combination of flavors like soy sauce, sesame oil, and freshly grated ginger. Then cooked low and slow in the crockpot for an easy, nutritious dinner with little effort!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package of 1915 Farm Grassfed Beef Short Ribs
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, finely grated
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish
  • Cooked rice, for serving

INSTRUCTIONS

Arrange the short ribs in the bottom of a slow cooker, then sprinkle with the thinly sliced onion. Mix together the soy sauce, beef broth, rice vinegar, brown sugar, black pepper, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes, then pour over the short ribs.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours. When almost ready to serve, prepare a cornstarch slurry by whisking the cornstarch into 2 Tbsp of warm water. Pour into the slow cooker, stirring to combine. Cover and cook for another 20 minutes, until the liquid has thickened slightly.

Shred meat, or serve ribs whole, over rice.

Good morning. I’m using your Korean short rib recipe and I noticed that in the instructions you mentioned rice vinegar and garlic. Neither of these are listed in the ingredients. I looked up another recipe and found their quantity to use in your recipe. No big deal but thought I’d let you know. Have a great week. I do enjoy your meat products. Thanks

Daryl Thane

Good morning. You mention rice vinegar in the instructions but there is no rice vinegar listed in your ingredients. I assume one cup is used?
